ICDU PRESIDENT-GENERAL COMMENDS SELFLESS EFFORTS OF THE IBUSA YOUTHS

Dr Austin Izagbo, the President-General of Ibusa Community Development Union (ICDU) has praised the youths of Umuezeagwu of Ibusa for mobilising themselves to engage in uncommon selflessness that ensured the clearing of gutters within their axis.
This commendation was conveyed in a statement made in Asaba, the Delta State capital by the Town Union’s leader.
Said he, ‘the Umuezeagwu Community has shown great example of what community self help and responsibility over public infrastructure can be in Ibusa with their mobilisation of men and resources to clear the drainage that stretches from Ashia Okpulukpu to Umuneze (3.1 km) and Umuisor to Umuwor – Ogbeowele stretch (1km)’.
‘This effort has made for free flow of flood water in their community thus, making the old experience of flooding in the community a thing of the past’, he enthused.
The former Delta State Commissioner for Sports explained that he was reliably informed that the Umuezeagwu Community spent about N200.000 in this stellar effort.
He congratulate the Diokpa and leadership of Umuezeagwu Community on behalf of the Ibusa Community Development Union and recommended the act self help effort to the other nine quarters of the community, stating that a forest soon becomes a home when taken care of.
